FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a Student CharlieCard?
Visit the BU ID Office at 25 Buick Street with your student ID. They'll give you a discounted CharlieCard that saves about 50% on fares. You can also add value online or at MBTA stations.
Is the T safe at night?
Generally yes, but be aware of your surroundings. The T can be sketchy late at night, especially on weekends. Travel with friends if possible and avoid empty train cars.
How do I get to the airport from BU?
Take the Green Line to Park Street, transfer to the Blue Line, and take it to Airport Station. There's a free shuttle to the terminals. Total time: ~45 minutes. Alternatively, Uber/Lyft is about $25-35.
