Guide to BU is an independent, alumni-led resource built for students, prospective students, and families navigating Boston University. We focus on practical, experience-driven guidance—from housing and dining to academics and Boston life—because we've lived it ourselves.
Our Approach
We translate institutional resources into usable paths. BU is a large research university with countless programs, offices, and opportunities—but finding what you need isn't always straightforward. Our goal is to help students cut through the noise and make informed decisions based on real experiences, not just marketing copy.
Every piece of content is shaped by lived experience at BU and ongoing engagement with the university community. We're not trying to sell you on Boston University—we're trying to help you succeed once you're here.
